Named one of the top 100 Investment Advisors in the U.S., Keith founded DeGreen Capital Management in 2009 after flunking retirement. In 2006 Keith sold DeGreen Wealth Management, an investment advisory firm in Scottsdale, Arizona, with $640,000,000 of assets under management. During his sabbatical he piloted his boat across the Pacific, wrote The Emerging Markets Book, and developed the ETF investment protocols he now uses for himself and his clients at fee-only DeGreen Capital Management (DCM). Continuing his travels (by plane!), Keith has met with business and investment professional in more than twenty countries. To keep clients fully informed, Keith frequently communicates with them by email. DCM regularly holds client events. Using his own money, he developed and tested what is now DeGreen Capital Management’s MARKTORS® portfolio management program, and has pioneered world-wide market and sector investing through the growing universe of low-cost, U.S.-traded, exchange traded funds (ETFs). He remains DCM’s first investor. Participating investors invest with Keith, through their own separately-managed accounts at Charles Schwab.
Keith was host of Arizona’s most popular investment show for more than 25 years, on NewsTalk 550 KFYI. Click here to listen to some of our favorite show highlights here on the website. Keith was Arizona’s Republican candidate for U.S. Senate in 1988. He was a candidate for Governor in 2005 but withdrew due to a family illness. Keith has been a Certified Financial Planner since 1987. He earned his law degree at The University of Cincinnati School of Law approximately 100 years ago (or so it seems), and earned his undergraduate degree at Miami University of Ohio. He is a member of the State Bar of Arizona. Keith served in Vietnam with the United States Marine Corps. He received the Purple Heart and earned the rank of Sergeant.
After living full-time in Arizona for nearly 30 years, in 2007, Keith, his wife Lynn, and their two youngest sons, relocated to “the financial capital of the world”, Chagrin Falls, Ohio (pop. 5000). The family also has a home in Scottsdale. Keith regularly commutes between Ohio and Phoenix. He is the proud father of five children and five grandchildren. His children range in age from 46 to 19. Keith is obviously a financial-, not a family, planner.
