About

Keith resides in Paradise Valley, Arizona, with his wife, Lynn. He is the proud father of five children and a proud granddad of eight.

Way Back When…

Keith DeGreen received his undergraduate degree in political science (with honors) from Miami University of Ohio, and his law degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Law.

However, his education was not seamless. He left college to volunteer for the United States Marines. He served in Vietnam, received the Purple Heart, and was honorably discharged as a Sergeant E-5.

About

A gifted speaker, as a young man Keith addressed hundreds of trade- and professional groups in several countries. He is the author of the motivational books, Stand Up Speak Out and Win, and Creating a Success Environment.

He remains a popular speaker on topics ranging from politics to personal development. Feel free to contact Keith for more information.

Keith was Arizona’s Republican Candidate for United States Senate in 1988. In 2005 he was a leading candidate for Governor until he withdrew due to a family illness.

Professional History

Keith earned his Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP) designation in 1987 and flourished as an investment advisor until his retirement from the industry on January 1, 2023.

During his financial planning career, Keith built and sold two highly successful investment advisory firms in the Phoenix area.

For 34 years, he hosted Arizona’s most popular personal finance show on NewsTalk 550 KFYI AM radio. In more recent years, he co-hosted the show with his son, Investment Advisor, Sam DeGreen. Sam continues to host the show.

From 1996 until 2006 Keith was CEO of DeGreen Wealth Management (DWM) in Scottsdale. He was also Managing Partner of The Law Offices of Keith DeGreen, an estate-planning law firm.

After selling DWM and retiring from the practice of law, Keith entered into his first failed retirement. He bought and piloted a boat across the Pacific. During the trip, he broadcast his popular radio show from the middle of the ocean, and from various ports into Asia.

However, by January 2010 Keith had flunked retirement. He launched DeGreen Capital Management (DCM) – a fee-only fiduciary investment advisory firm — also in Scottsdale.

He sold DCM to Allworth Financial in 2021 and – with enormous love and appreciation toward his many clients and listeners — he retired from the industry in early 2023.
