I’m, Keith DeGreen and this is your Investors Minute.
For the past two days I’ve offered the upside and downside that companies face during this earnings season.
On the downside: a slowing world economy, a rising dollar, and geopolitical risk. On the upside: a steadily improving U.S. economy, an accommodative Fed policy, and lower oil prices.
Remembering that we do take our clients to cash when our analytics say we should, here’s our verdict at DeGreen Capital Management:
We see about a 10% potential upside to the S&P over the next six months; many U.S. sectors are still reasonably priced; and both companies and investors are sitting on record amounts of cash.
Stick with market and sector exchange-traded funds. Don’t try to out-think markets; and be prepared to rotate to other markets or to cash if things get dicey.
